About the book:
- Amongst the last books that were authored by Shaikhul Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kaandhlawi (RA) in the series of Fazaail (virtues), was the book Fazaail eTijaarat (Virues of Business). Hadhrat Sheikh (RA) authored this book outlining broad guidelines on aspects of trade and commerce in the light of Islam. This book had been in print before but has been out of circulation for many years. With the rapid decline in business ethics nowadays, a need arose to reprint this book to enlighten the Ummah on the true spirit of Islam.
- If the business community around the world adopt the beautiful Sunnah in their dealings and their transactions, this itself will become a great Da’wah to the entire world. The Kuffaar do not witness our day to day Ibaadah like Salaah, Saum, Zakaah, etc. However they do witness the manner in which we conduct ourselves when dealing with them. In many Asian countries like Malaysia and Indonesia, the majority of the inhabitants are Muslim. History shows that their forefathers accepted Islam due to the conduct of migrant Muslim businessmen.
- We hope this book will be a means of inculcating the true ethics of Islamic Commerce in the Ummah.
